The Cleveland Institution of Engineers serves Teesside's scientific community through its wide range of learned society activities and by acting as the professional body for materials scientists and engineers. The CIE is one of the oldest institutions of its kind in the world and has been in continuous existence since it was founded in 1864. We are affiliated to the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining and are founder members of the Cleveland Scientific Institution

BREAKING NEWS!! CIE Breaking News 2012 - 2013


CIE continues to forge closer ties with the Stokesley Engineers Dateline: 9th October 2012
The CIE will once again be sponsoring a lecture in the Stokesly Engineers programme.

The sponsored lecture takes place on Wednesday 21st November on the subject of "Artificial joints".
The speaker is Prof. Anthony Unsworth of Durham University

As part of this ongoing relationship all CIE members are welcome to attend any Stokesley Engineers lecture free-of-charge, and naturally the same hospitality extends to all members of Stokesly Engineers.

Their meetings are held in Stokesley Town Hall, and cover a wide range of subjects delivered by renowned experts in their respective fields.
